Filming

We have recently done some filming a couple of days ago on our music video.

We have done about half of it and we are going to do the rest this friday.

We have filmed all the parts in the theatre and we just have all the outside to do which we are going to do on friday hopefully if the weather is nice and has stopped raining.

I had to be a teamworker here because I was working with my partner to find the right locations and timings to make our music video right.

Locations we are going to use for our music video

Here are some ideas for locations we would like to use in our video.
I have put a creative thinker post it note here because I think we had to think creatively to find the particular locations we wanted to use.

Health and Safety when Filming

When filming you need to follow to some rules. Here they are below:

Location:
You shouldn't film in a public place without consent from the police.

Hazards:
Don't film anywhere which could harm people or the equipment. For exmple: - on the beach(sand in camera.)
- Or in lakes and rivers because people could drown or equipment damaged.

Privacy:
Don't film anyone you don't know.

Props:
Do not use props that could scare or worry the public such as weapons etc.

Interviewing:
Do not interview people under 18 without parent's and teacher's consent or interview people who don't wish to be interviewed.

Care of cameras / equipment:
Do not do anything to harm / damage or loose the equipment.

Acting appropriately:
Make sure you act appropriately with equipment so that you don't cause alarm to public.
I put this post it here because I think I had to work by myself and evaluate a situation of filming outside and explore issues and everyone's perspective.

Photography (Creative Media) - Capture

For this part of capture we have to compare and contrast two photographers one from past and one from present. To present this I will put this in my blog and adapt it into my journal so it blends in with my A/S work. The two photographers I have chosen to use are called Louis Daguerre and

We started this project today and so far I have found out that a camera obscurer is a Latin word for a darkened room or darkened object. A Camera Obscurer works by a dark box or room with a small hole letting light through which then projects an image onto a surface. It is produced on the surface upside down and back to front. It is used to produce images of objects.

A daguerreotype is an early type of photograph produced by Louis Daguerre. A daguerreotype is a picture taken straight onto a mirrored piece of metal. When a portrait of a person has been taken this way it looks as though they are right there, even though they could have died 100 years ago. Its so amazing how it looks like that.

Lyrics

Here are the lyrics to the song we have chosen to use for music video. We got some ideas from the song itself and the video:

Making my video - continued

We have found a technique we would love to use in our video called ducking which is used for many media topics such as radio (when they talk about a song over it playing) or when a film is advertised and they use a track from it while they use some dialog from the film over the top then it would end with just hearing a track for a few seconds louder. Here is a song that uses this technique by F.I.R which is called 'Our love'.

Project Proposal

Title of Project: Creating a music video
Title of Song: Timbaland - Apologize
Resources: Camera, Tripods, Tapes, Crew, Locations, Props.
Location: College
Crew: Me, biyan and actors/actresses.
Target Audience: My video will be aimed at mainly teenagers aged 10-20. Also probably mainly females as it is quite a slow song. The people who would listen to this song would probably typical teenagers who like hanging out with their friends and texting and reading magazines.
the type of people would be watching my video would be the same type of people who would watch Timbaland's video. I would attract them by making the video quick but interesting at the same time.
Narrative: Our narrative we have decided to use is the following:
It is about a girl writing a letter to her best friend apologizing for seeing someone she likes. At the same time she writes a letter saying she doesn't want to know her for this reason. We would then film them exchanging letters but she doesn't believe her but at the same point we see that she realizes she wants things to get back how they used to be with her. She then goes and sits on the steps and thinks whether she wants to accept her apology and trust her again. We would then film her saying sorry. The next scene would be Alex throwing drink a charlii, charlii would struggle to open her drink, Alex would laugh then we would hug and walk off linking arms and laughing together.
We have decided to change our idea for a narrative slightly because when we researched the lyrics our first narrative did not adapt to them. We have still decided to use the same locations though as they still fit in with our new narrative but we might add a few more locations such as a park or town but we are still unsure yet.
I think I am a creative thinker here because we both had to think creatively about what we wanted in our video in terms of narrative, locations etc.

Making my video

We have chose to make a video to the song Apologise by Timberland. We are going to make a narrative to this song. So far we have come up with a few different ideas for our video in terms of locations, props, and narratives.

Our first narrative idea was about two people having an argument. At the start of the video we show them upset and they are trying to write a letter apologizing to each other.( In this shot we would have them screwing up rough letters in different rooms. Then the next scene we would see the argument. The next scene after that we would see them talking to each other but with a bit annoyance in the air. For the final scene we see the couple lying down and we would hear them say a promise never to break up or argue with each other.
Here are a few ideas for locations we could use in the video:
The theatre we have in the college because it is black and we are going for a dark effect. Maybe a hill looking at the sky for a romantic effect or with a seaview. Maybe a red room while they are arguing to portray anger, and maybe a studio to show shots of artist singing, a street. ( Different shot each chorus. )

I had to be a relective learner here because we had to look at other artist's work to give us ideas to use in our work.
